District Forester:

Responsible for ecosystem management for Kamehameha Schools’ lands of over 165,000 acres in West and East Hawaii. Implement and manage both conservation and production forest activities: weed control, silviculture, reforestation, planting, road maintenance, forest health, ecosystem monitoring, fire planning and protection. Resolve GIS & remote sensing queries from other company foresters and clients. Manage a 5,000 acre Eucalyptus forest in Kau, Hawaii. Coordinate and supervise contractors and field operations. Responsible for annual plans and budget reviews.

  • Digitized occurrences of rare plant species.
